Upgrade for MagnaStar®

MagnaStar users are evaluating alternatives and upgrades to their current systems because MagnaStar service-provider Verizon is terminating its air-ground communications service by the end of 2007.

Sky Connect's upgrade package includes a certified Iridium transceiver, TSO'd high-performance Iridium antenna, and installation kit.

Once coupled with the MagnaStar AIU* satcom interface, the existing MagnaStar phones onboard the aircraft can continue to be used for incoming and outgoing calls. All of the other features like internal PBX and intercom functions will remain intact.

This upgrade provides a single phone line. To match the two-line capability of the existing MagnaStar service, a dual-line package adds a second Iridium transceiver, antenna, and installation kit.

Single-line Upgrade: $14,995.
Dual-line Upgrade: $24,995.

* If your MagnaStar system is equipped for other radio interfaces, such as Inmarsat, you may be able to use the existing AIU interface. Each Iridium upgrade line requires an AIU. If your system doesn't have one, they can be purchased from Teledyne through your avionics shop.
